A Really Good Day.

   ~Emily Cline

Andrea Rich held her Divine Design Lab Work/Playshop this weekend. In her {dharma}, her life work, there is so much she is creating, inspiring, teaching. I will tell you about my experience later, but for today, just for today, two things:

(1) Watch this, and tell me how it fills you.

"Gratitude", by Louie Schwartzberg

(2) Read this and consider: What are you making?

"Go into the arts. I'm not kidding. The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower. Dacne to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something."    -Kurt Vonnegut

  1. Oh My God, this is how it fills me up. I am grateful for this day, for our friendship which feeds and sustaines me. I am grateful to be living in the creative energy of the arts, which are a never ending source of inspiration. My soul sits on the beach and I got to go yesterday to fill my well, and I shall be by water next weekend in my favorite place-Bass Lake where my family roots run deep. I am blessed beyond measure. Thank you for starting my day with your presence. Even though we are far, we are close at heart.

    1. Isn't it so beautiful?? I alternated between tears, goose bumps, and gasps. I know the feeling you get on the beach: I used to get it in Pensacola. So close, lady. You have no idea. xooo

  2. So gorgeous...both the video and the quote. Coincides so well with the book I'm currently reading for the second time, One Thousand Gifts. Can't wait to hear about your art time over the weekend.
